We exist to make deciding where to go and what to eat easier.
Gezdor is an editorial travel and food guide to Türkiye, city by city. We are not a booking site or a delivery platform; our aim is not to show you thousands of options but to filter down to the ones genuinely worth your time.
Maps list every venue, but they do not tell you which one is good, in what order to see things, or what you should actually eat in that city. Gezdor exists to fill exactly that gap.
How do we choose venues?
No venue on our list pays to be there. Selections are made on editorial criteria, free of charge; no business can buy its ranking or visibility. We look at:
- Overall visitor experience and satisfaction
- Value it adds to the region and its culture
- Accessibility and location
- Originality and whether we would recommend it
What we promise
No paid rankings
No business pays to be listed or ranked higher. If a commercial partnership happens in future, that content will be clearly marked "Sponsored".
Ratings are editorial
The ratings you see are our assessment, not an average of user votes. We state this on the pages themselves and in the structured data we give search engines.
Image sources are disclosed
Photos of places come from Wikimedia Commons; the author and licence are credited on every page. Restaurant images are representative and may not show that venue.
Available in four languages
Our content is fully prepared in Turkish and English. Arabic and Russian remain closed to search engines until their translations are complete.
