Rising in Konak Square, the elegant Clock Tower is Izmir's most recognised symbol. Together with the pigeons fluttering around it and the adjacent Yalı Mosque, it forms an iconic scene.
History
Built in 1901 to mark the 25th anniversary of Sultan Abdülhamid II's accession. It is an elegant example of Ottoman and oriental architecture.
