Built in 1635, Tahmis Kahvesi is one of the oldest coffee houses in Gaziantep and in Türkiye; with its stone-arched courtyard and four-century-old walls, it is living history. For centuries the people of Antep have sipped their coffee and deepened their conversations here. The house signature is menengiç coffee, made from the fruit of the local terebinth tree, with a milky, hazelnutty aroma. The traditional breakfast items and warm pastries served alongside make it a meeting point for the bazaar's tradesmen and visitors in the mornings.
